Any access to the island!
you can access the island with 3 ways. by plane that arrives to Skiathos, the island next to Skopelos and then take a ferry for about 15 minutes, or by boat which is way more economic either from the port of Agios Konstantinos (there is also a flying dolphin), either from Volos (in case you are paying a visit there already) and of course from Peiraias(Athens's port) which i don't recommend because it's too far and more expensive!
Reaching Skopelos Island
Here are some usefull information about how to reach Skopelos island.
You can reach Skopelos by Ferries, Catamarans and Frying Dolphins (Hydrofoils). They depart from the ports of Agios Konstantinos (if you live in Southern Greece), Volos (if you live in Central Greece) and Thessaloniki (if you live in Nothern Greece). From visitors coming from abroad you can land in Skiathos island and then take the ship to Skopelos.
How to get to Skopelos
Skopelos lies off the beaten track. As most travellers come to Athens they use Piraeus port to reach most of the islands of the Aegean. Well this is not the rule for Skopelos (as well as the other islands of Northern Sporades).
Skopelos is 60 n.m from Volos, 61 n.m from the harbor of Agios Konstantinos (situated in mainland) and 120 n.m from Thessaloniki.
So the best option is to get a bus from Athens (or Thessaloniki) to Aghios Konstantinos or to Volos and from there boat or hydrofoil to Sporades.
The island has three harbors: The one at Skopelos, Loutraki (also harbor of Glossa in the north of Skopelos) and Agnontas (used when strong north winds hinder the approach to the harbor of Skopelos town).
The way to get here!
This is the map on which you can see Sporade Islands: Skiatos, Skopelos...
Ag. Konstantinos is a port that is cituated on the national road that leads from Thessaloniki to Athens so you can't miss it!!!
Then take a Flying Dolphin for about 25 euro and you're there in 2h!
