The beach at Stalis was one of the nicest beaches we visited during our stay on Crete. We were staying in a small apartment just ten minutes away so we visited the beach on three or four occasions. Its very clean and you can hire the sun loungers and parasolls for just a few Euros each. There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby and a lot of water sport activities for the more adventurous.

The Creta Restaurant has everything. The food is superb, and in a party of five, pleasing everyone can be a challenge. Once we found this place, we came back again and again. Visiting a town for the first time, you want to try different restaurants, but nothing in our experience, compares to the Creta.
The restaurant looks out onto the sea, has a terrific staff team that really make you feel welcome and Martha and Michael are the perfect hosts.
From local dishes to steaks, pasta to lamb and fish...and even curry, we ate there six times and everyone had a great evening. While you're in the mood, and if you haven't been slowed down by the home made sweets or the raki, they show any willing victims 'how to do Greek Dance'. This is entertainment - for the participants or any diners super-glued to their chairs as the music starts. Is it possible for so many people to lack co-ordination at one time?
The Creta Restaurant is a place people come back to. Several nights while we were there, we spoke to people who had been coming back for over 5 and 10 years.
This family business feels like catching up with old friends. I can't recommend it enough.
Favorite Dish: After so many great meals, Lamb tsi Creta has to be the best. The tenderest lamb.

Easy going and relaxed, almost always busy. Well cooked food. Always fresh. George the owner took time to talk and explain what was on the menu and what wasn't and why! Not the typical children's menu, the children could have anything on the main menu except moussaka as that was in individual pots.
The best lamb that I have ever tasted.
My mother can be extremely fussy but enjoyed every meal that she ate there.
Local wine and raki served. We ate there more than any where else.
Most meals cost between 30 and 40 euros for five. Outstanding value. I think!
Favorite Dish: The pot roast lamb!
Mum's was the (roast?) beef.
Bethan loved the stuffed tomatoes and the grilled shrimps.
The boys souvlaki (pork and chicken, they couldn't decide).
