Located in the south of Peloponessos, this island is totally unknown for foreigners. But Elafonisos island is a fabulous spot for superb vacation. It is linked with the Peloponnesos by ferry (5 minutes). Simos (one of the country's most stunning beaches) will amaze you. A 1.5 kilometer long beach stretches below sand dunes and cedar trees... Monemvasia is one of the most spectacular sites in the Aegean and has been called the Gibraltar of Greece. It is one of the most unforgettable places I saw in Greece: the lower town (still alive...by a few inhabitants) and upper town (dead town... castle, church, incredible views and.... silence) My Monemvasia page Leave a Comment

Prefecture of Ahaia has two sides to visit: the coast side villages with the exceptional beaches and the mountains with forests full of chestnut trees and pine trees. Patras is the capital of the prefecture and the biggest city in Peloponnese as well as a major portal to Greece for foreigners because of the harbour. Helmou Skiing Resort, Kalavryta, Vouraiko gorge, Agia Lavra Monastery, Monastery of Mega Spileon, Cave of the Lakes, Aigio town. My Ahaia page Leave a Comment

Arahova (just 12 km from Delphi) is a city famous for its beauty, its history and the legends that have come from here. One of the best Ski Centres in Greece - Parnassos Centre - is located here. It was SO cold during my stay in there. You can see my emotions at the picture :-) But Arahova is also famous for a nightlife that gives you a chance to be warmed. Leave a Comment

Take a walk in the morning in the port full of fishermen. A smell of fresh fish and coffee from the nearby cafes... Try cheese pie and enjoy the atmosphere... There is a myth associated with Poros: this island was the birthplace of the celebrated Theseus, son of Poseidon. He was the famous Athenian hero who managed to kill the Minotaur of Crete, half man, half bull. My Poros island page Leave a Comment

Nafplio is the most romantic city of Greece...But Nafpaktos could be too... Nafpaktos’s got all these elements for being picturesque: green enough, plenty of waters, big old platans, clear sea, spotless yards with beautiful gardens, a marvelous fort and small port together which is the smallest and the most beautiful in all over Mediterranean and its powerful castle that is “testifier” of its adventurous history. The island with bright heroic past and picturesques villages, forbidden for the cars that is why the air is so fresh and clean! Unforgettable impressions after visiting the wild Beikiri cave with a wonderful underground lake... My Spetses island page Leave a Comment
