Beach Bar in Rethymnon,Crete.After a long night out we wanted to continue our partying and we got recomended this place which was the only place still open(around 04.00).Everyone knows where it is.Lots of local people there.When we came the place was all dark,no lights..but lots of people though.U have to walk two and two to the bathrooms really..its dark as sin and some scary looking people around.As to the darkness of the place..one can safely say that different activities do take place in hidden corners and on the beach there:)Maybe better to check the place out earlier in the night..

Be careful of driving in the mountains although it is much safer than in Turkey. There are safely bars going around the mountains which provide breathtaking views, but there are also many sharp bends and require you to take it easy.Locals like to drive a bit faster around these bends, take it easy if you are driving in a car or motorcycle.

ENGLISH - it is said that worse drivers in Europe are portuguese and greeks. Well: it is right. And, pay attention, in Greece the berm on the side of the road is one roadway too (one more). If you forget it (I did) you can be exposed to danger. PORTUGUÊS - Consta que os piores condutores da Europa são os portugueses e os gregos. Pois: é verdade. E prestem atenção, na Grécia a berma da estrada também é uma faixa de rodagem (uma mais). Esquecermo-nos disto (ia-me acontecendo a mim) pode causar situações de verdadeiro perigo. - FRANÇAIS - On dit que les pires conducteurs en Europe sont les portugais et les grcs. Eh bien: c'est vrai. Well, how can i say that without causing any panic? I know! I'll say a story!Once upon a time there was a little boy (that has to be me). So this boy was about 8 years old and he used to be a very restless boy. Teasing everyone and stuff. One day he was sitting in the living room with his parents and his sister and were watching TV. His parents were sitting on the sofa, while his sister and him were sitting on the floor with their backs laid back on the sofa. Then suddenly his mom said: 'Dimitri, stop moving the sofa'. At the same time his sister said: 'Dimitri, will you stop moving the carpet?!?' The boy raised his arms in dispair and said: 'God! Beware of Greek drivers!!!. They drive really fast and dangerously. Not that they don't know how to drive. On the contrary, they are really good drivers. The only problem is that a lot of them are really agressive behind the wheel.By the way, can you see how serious and bad-tempered i am behind the wheel? we were in a trolleybus.and i saw 2 men looking at my camera and my bag (was around my hips)i told my friend andwe try to put our belongings save. we looked back to the men that we knew what the plan to do and they went out the next stop.this was not a nice experience so be carefull.

we had 2 little earthquakes when we stayed in nidri lefkas.the first time i was asleep.it felt something like i fall out of my bed.we heard screaming outside and people were in panic.(read tourists)

If you are fair skinned and suffer from sunburn(like myself)try and stay out of the midday sun.Take it slowly to start with then gradually increase the time you spend in the sun.Trust me there is nothing worse than sunburn to spoil your holiday,luckily im not a nude sunbather otherwise i would have been right in the sh*t.Something else to watch out for are the lovely insects they call MOSQUITOES i will never forget when they ganged up on me in rhodes,the little bas##rds bit me all over.They must have been the fattest mossies in greece when they finished with me,i think they drank half my blood.mind you with the amount of ouzo i drank that night im surprised they could even buzz let alone fly Ha Ha Ha.Try to avoid taking to much cash with you at one time,use travelers cheques or something similar.

How many times have you heard about the driving!?We hired a car and it was the best move we made, though I did nearly manage to kill us both to death on the 4th day!Beware on the roads as whitelines are barely non-existant, couple this with a major junction and confusing traffic lights, 4 billion mopeds and local drivers who DO know what they're doing and it's a bit of a recipe for disaster.My tip:-If you want to see the island of Corfu...Hire a car...If you want to stay alive till the flight back.... don't drive it !!!!Windy roads on the hills can be frightening to...I'm sure you can see better if you click on this piccie that the Corfu Road Planners did their training at the Blackpool University for Ghost Train design ;-)(By the way, I exagerated about those mopeds.. there were only 3.9 billion.. ;-)
