Favorite thing: If arriving by boat, there is a water taxi (Mainbrayce, Channel 37 or 80), which charges £1.50 per person, per one way trip. It would therefore save you money to inflate your dinghy, if you have one, and row or motor the 100 yards or so to the dinghy pontoon, on the left side of the harbour. This pontoon will usually be rather crowded, but take a long rope with you, and you will be able to secure your own dinghy, by crawling over and inside the others! You may only officially stay alongside for up to 6 hours.
The overnight mooring fee is, as at July 2008, £12 per vessel.

I have probably visited Alderney 10 times over the last 15 years. It is one of the most peaceful places to visit.
