Herm's gift shops have a reputation for providing interesting and good value items. From jewellery to clothes, vases to toys and beach goods, chocolates and souvenirs. The shops are set in a Mediterranean style piazza which was built by a team of Italian builders and craftsmen in the 1960's. This adds great character to the harbour front and fits in well with the white washed and pastel coloured cottages. The small post office sells fascinating Herm Island stamps and First Day Covers which have become collectors items all over the world.
