Guernsey has an excellent and comprehensive bus system which is the best and cheapest way to get around. A flat fare of 50p applies to all journeys of any distance on all routes. Also, you can hail a bus even if you are not at an official bus stop. The schedules are available all over the island and very easy to decipher. However, be aware that the schedules change at the end of summer (Oct 1) and there are reduced schedules on the weekend (these are included in the timetable booklet). Taxis are an alternative, but very expensive - a 10 minute ride will cost you about 10 GBP.

You can get to most places in Guernsey by bus. Its 50 pence a journey but its best to buy a multi-trip card if you're using the bus a lot. that way it can be as cheap as 20 pence a trip.Otherwise, you can hire a car or a bicycle but beware the narrow roads.
To get to guernsey from UK by ferry is from Weymouth or Poole or fly by Flybe or Autigny airlines.
Very Small.....if two planes arrive together it can get very crowded in there, a new terminal is planned, hopefully before the tourist season really gets under way.

There are also ferrys from mainland France and the UK.

We used Aurigny airlines, small and friendly they now have sheduled flights from London Gatwick. The planes are small turbo props and can be cramped but thankfully the flight lasts less than an hour.

The Tour bus will take you all around the island that you wouldn't see otherwise. Not as I can recall being that expensive either
