Szarvas Travel Guide

 katalin Says:  In Szarvas every summer there are interesting festivals like horse, gastronomy, sport. 

 katalin Says:  Szarvas has small game hunting ground. It is popular for local people and foreign people too. The local hunting party has raise pheasants. /poor pheasants.... :-(/ 

 katalin Says:  Szarvas has two big modern playground. One is in city centre the other is nearby the main road 44. 

 katalin Says:  when you visited the biggest hungarian botanical garden you can buy beautiul plants in the botanical garden shop. Imagine that the local people often buy their plants from here. 

 katalin Says:  Folk dance is popular for the local young people. In the Aranyménes Panzió/Pension you can see traditonal folk dance too.

 aramat Says:  The Visitor Centre is also in Anna liget, next to the NP directorate. An exhibition presents a wide range of issues concerning the Park, from the typical flora and fauna to the trade of endangered species. 

 aramat Says:  The Csáky castle was built in 1908 in eclectic style. The castle itself houses the Körös-Maros National Park directorate, so only the park (Anna liget) can be visited. 

 aramat Says:  Along the trail, interpretative boards provide description and explanation of the surrounding habitats in Hungarian and English. Nice little details make the walk even more enjoyable. 

 aramat Says:  The app. 1.5 km long nature trail starts from Anna liget and presents various habitats (wetland, meadow, forest, etc.).
