If you are the owner of a digital camera, MP3 , Mini Disc etc then it is worth taking spare batteries with you. In some areas they are hard to find, and when you can they are sometimes less than worthwhile local brands. Maybe just my luck. Leave a Comment

Take care of your feet! Even though I wasn't wearing sandals that were new or bad shoes, my feet got very sore! The heat makes his little act so easy so mind to be kind to your feet. Ladies, this advice is for you: Tapwater in Hungary has a high lime content so it will probably make your hair very dry, so take a good moisturising conditioner with you, and if you travel in summer, mind the sun protection for your hair too! My hair has never been so dry as it was in Hungary.
Digital Memory Cards for Digital Cameras are still very expensive in Hungary Leave a Comment

during my visit to Budapest i met one problem. i felt bad, had some sort of not wide spread sickness. not that i was gonna die, but it made me feel uncomfortable. I was looking for Drug-store. It was really hard to find any moreover if u're half a km outside of the city centre. I got used that in my city there are planty of chemists and many of them are open 24/7. Finally spending a lot of time on search i found a drug store where a women didn't speak any other language besides local. using any possible way to explain her what disturbed me, including body language and gestures i asked her to save me. she sold me something being complitely not sure what she gave, i bought something being complitely not sure - will i survive after using it or not. when i finally visited doctor in Manchetser after coming back from Budapesh- she said this medicine has nothing to do with my disease, but it didn't made u any bad. anyway, ppl, always take medicines with yourself, at least on what u can predict may happen with u. If you are planning to walk a lot around the city you must take good and comfortable walking shoes. The distances here are big and you might find yourself walking a lot from sight to sight even if you will use public transportation like the metro or tram. For example - on the first day i walked from the hotel on Kelvin square to the Jewish synagogue and from there around the Jewish quarter and to heroes square from Andrassy street - something like 10 km. If you are visiting Budapest in the winter you MUST bring warm clothes and an umbrella !!! But in the summer also bring a scarf or a small jacket for the evening near the Danube and a small umbrella with you just in case it will rain - we had 2 rainy days on our trip although it was July and very hot.
