Luggage and bags: Budapest is very civilized. Staying in hotels, eating in restaurants is there as common as in Amsterdam or New York. So you know what you need.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Everyone is well dressed. So behave !
Good walking shoes for the city is something you might need. Rain is quiet normal there, so be prepared.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Normal. No extra supply needed. Everything is available in the shops.
Photo Equipment: Also on this one: Everything is available in the shops.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A VT member has asked me:
'I heard years ago that blue jeans were very hard to get in Hungary and that people would try to buy your blue jeans from you while you were walking down the street. Is this still true?'
I suggest packing blue jeans only for yourself, since getting one did not cause severe problems in the past 25-30 years, lol!

Luggage and bags: Any bag is suitable, but take some kind of small backpack or bag to carry necessary items like water bottle and sunscreen, because in the summer average daytime temperature can be up to 35 degrees.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For the summer light clothing and sum kind of sport shoes or sandles are best for that time of year.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Anti-perspirant, insect repellant, anti-histamine, sunscreen
Photo Equipment: Normal photographic equipment will be OK. Most hotels and shops will carry the standard batteries and films for cameras. For video equipment (i.e. recharging the batteries) the plug/socket is the standard european two pin. So it you are from Britain/Ireland or the US/Canada bring an adapter.
