Considered by many to be the best Mexican in Hungary, this is, for me, easily one of the best restaurants in the capital. Quality food, with lots of options, including tasty vegetarian ones. Original ideas, house specialities and a choice of spice levels means that everyone can find something they will enjoy. The service is also very efficient and friendly.
It's very popular, and gets extremely crowded in the evenings. You'll want to book ahead after 7pm and weekends. But it's open all day, and you can find plenty of empty tables outside peak times, say 4pm.
Ok, so a large part of the clientele are Westerners and that may not be what you're here to experience, but the food here is really good. We've been several times and never had anything bad. It's very close to the Parliament so hop in when you need recharging from sightseeing. Service is mostly friendly. Nice outside tables.
Favorite Dish: cheese quesadilla! Because thats what I always have!
A real treat after 90 days in Bosnia. I was stoked by the tortilla soup and the authentic enchiladas. The beer list was a little short (I am partial to Mexican beers) but the food was tasty even though the portions were a little small.
Overall it was fun but for the average American on vacation in Europe it may be a little bit of a let down. It is very good Mexican ffod by European standards but if you are from a border state you may be dissapointed.
Favorite Dish: The tortilla soup was better than my wife's! Shhhh. Don't tell her.
Take it from TexasDave, it's the best Tex-Mex I've had outside of Texas! And not too hard on the pocketbook, either.
