Childrens animal hats
I thought these little hats to keep babies ears hot were just too cute for words. Pity I do not have any that I could have bought for.
Váci utca area: Shops
Around this street and on this pedestrian street itself, there is the most important and famous area for shopping.
What to buy: Hungarians have some very good wines and the more famous is of course Tokaj.
Also, they have lots of excelent delicacies with their hot red pepper.

Ezust Es Bizsu: Great Costume Jewelry
Although this shop is very very small it has some great pieces of costume jewelry at very reasonable prices.
What to pay: I paid 3500 HUF (about $17 USD) for a nice necklace

The market hall in Budapest is a good place for shopping of food items, spieces and other interesting stuff.
In Budapest you can buy very nice souvenirs. The most beautiful are painting eggs or dolls with Hungarian dress. You can find many of these shops in the Buda Castle.

Terez Patika is a well equipped pharmacy which is also open during the night (they give out the medicaments through a little window, but still...).
They also have homeopatic things.
Kigyo Gyogyszertar: Old stlye pharmacy in the center
The Kigyo (Snake) Pharmacy's interior is just as like a pharmacy was in the good old days, but you can surely find the new medicaments here as well.
Budagyongye - Szega cheese shop: Budagyongye - Cheese with cheese
Want to find your favourite cheese here in Budapest? Szega is one of the best cheeseshops around town.

For the trendiest and top brands of clothing, jewelry, and accessories, Vaci utca is the place to go. It is a pedestrian only street right off Vorosmarty ter. It can get expensive.
