The Palace of Arts
The construction of the Palace of Arts started in 2001 and finished in 2005. This enormous building, unlike the Nathional theatre wich followed the traditions, was constructed in a post-modern, very progressive style. Maybe this is why I don`t like it too much the externals, but surely the internals are impressive. It hosts the the Ludwig contemporary Museum, wich moved from the Buda castle, the very interesting National Concert Hall, wich is the biggest in central Europe, and has perfect accustics and the Festival Theatre.

Outer Pest: Palace of Arts
Not to be confused with the old Palace of Arts on Heroes Square, this is part of the Millennium City park along with the National Theater. It does have an arts museum inside, the Ludwig Contemporary Art Museum, but the place is enormous. It has over 70,000m2 of floor space, enough to fit a small town. So alongside the Art Museum there's also the Bartok Concert Hall and the Festival Theater.
It's an impressive, if not beautiful building, with hints of the Tate Modern and Berlin's Olympic Stadium.
