This Oceanarium is deffinatly must see if you going there with kids, or yourself are a fan of waterlife! Personally I was seduced by 11m big long tunel with different kinds of fish and quite fat sharks. Also, among 8 rooms, you able to find a 'close to realistic' tropical forest with birds, monkeys, crocodiles... If you would like to, you could have a personal contact with big turtles, too.
This is a small but nice aquarium located in Campona Shopping Mall. There is a particularly nice walkway where the water is overhead and you can watch the fish and sharks swim above you. Also in residence are an octupus, crocodile, and several types of birds and lizards. Free for kids under 4.
Did I see enough animals for one day?
I was curious about the tropicarium-oceanarium.
Hungary is forgetting about the past as soon
as possible. The new message is consuming
as much as you can. Therefore here
and there they got giant shopping centers.
'Campona' is one of them. It is quit
a bit from the center , but easy to reach by
bus. Don't forget the bus ride will take about
half an hour.
Those shopping centers need something to
attract the people. Why not an aquarium and
some little monkeys.
It isn't large but it is interesting.
You first enter at the Hungarian rivers section.
A bunch of non-colorful fish welcomes you.
The next room is a little rainforest. Free
running little monkeys , some special birds...
Next some insect , butterflies , spiders ,
turtles...a nice collection of reptiles.
The differences in hight will give you some
surprizing sights here and there.
Then the missisipi crocodile is waiting to say
hi to you and every few minutes a rainstorm
takes places.
A lot of colorfull fish and of course a tunnel.
5 steps and your trough it. But it is there.
Do I need to say they got sharks?
I liked it , but it isn't that special.
Very relaxing to hang around if you got the time.
And the price was very reasonable.
(6 euro without the Budapestcard)
The Ocenario in the Capona Shopping center.
Walking near the sharks, in an underwater tunnel, is something I've never experienced before. Also a lot of other interesting fishes and animals (crocodiles and more). Open every day. Also a good place for shopping, entertainment (cinemas) and different restaurants.
