    • This unique restaurant is somewhat underground in what seems to be a wine cellar. The decor is beautiful Hungarian style, the restaurant has plush heavy wooden seats and tables. The menu is typical Hungarian food and drink.

    Their soups are excellent!!!

    • It has a wonderful atmosphere, Italian style.. they have a smoking section in the 'basement' of this intimate little restaurant which resembles a cellar. It is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner!

    Their specialty steak is a must to try!!!

    • Babalu is an Amazingly decorated little restaurant that has great dishes!!!! If you go you have to try their onion soup!!!! Although the atmosphere is a bit African style, the food is more of a Mexican type with many different dishes to choose from... and lets not start on the drinks... AMAZING, but a bit pricey for Debrecen!

    Onion soup of course!

    • This is a very high-quality restaurant, sometimes with local entertainment, extensive menu and an old Hungarian setting. It is more geared toward tourists (even though this is NOT a tourist town), or to people out for a special occasion.

    Open from 11:30 - 23:00.

    I don't remember precisely what we had, but they were local dishes and everything was very very good. They have menus in English and possibly other languages.
