Debrecen's Plaza is the second large shopping c. in Debrecen. Personally, it didn’t make any special impression on me. Some of the stores were closed so it seems like the centre was empty. Maybe I was in the wrong time, but there were not too many people. I had a feeling that this was the first centre in the city and after a while, Debrecen’s Forum (shopping c.) was opened, so most of the sellers went to the new centre. I’m sure this is not so far away from the truth because it is something it would happen in my country :)
Only store which make me return to this shopping c. was BMT shoes (antishoes) and that is it. Location is OK, it is near the main square, but it is also near the FORUM shopping c., so I think maybe this is one the reasons for being empty.
What to buy: Food and groceries (Spar), shoes, electronics, bags.

Debrecens FORUM is the largest shopping center in Debrecen. It is a very modern building with 3 floors. Beside the stores for clothes, shoes and accessories, there is a really great food corner with lots of small restaurants with home Hungarian food, Italian, Asian ...
Also, I love the offer for clothes and shoes. There is a huge bookshop but of course the books are in Hungarian.
I have saw a great corner for children playing.
There is a Caffes with a really good coffee.
What to buy: Woman and man clothes and shoe, books, accessories, jewelry, food and drinks.
Everything you want to find in a shopping center.
What to pay: You can spend as much as you want.

Debrecen Plaza is a modern shopping mall, so it's not very special, but it's a nice and dry place when it's raining outside (like when I was there....). It offers all kinds of shops (clothes, shoes, gifts, accessories, music, books, jewellery, pharmacy, cosmetics, toys, consumer electronics, hairdresser, supermarket, etc.), plus a food court and a multiscreen cinema.
What to buy: Probably anything that has the name of Kossuth on it.
What to pay: It's absolutely up to you.

Debrecen Plaza is a huge shopping centre with Israeli interests, opened at Christmas 1998 in the centre of the city. Its shops, restaurants, multiplex cinemas and gaming-rooms are waiting those who would like to shop and amuse thems.
