Almost half way between Budapest and lake Balaton, lake Velence attracts the travellers with its sparkling water-surface richly covered with islands of reed and coninuous reed stretches and on its northern shore with gently emerging mountains and slopy hills. Gánt, Bauxite-mine. Gánt is a little village around Székesfehérvár. You can reach the formally bauxite mine on road 7 (not M7, which is the highway), see the map. This place is really beautiful in the sunset, it's like a martian afternoon. Take 5, chill out, and enjoy how the rocks are turning to deep red!

The small Punter lake is situated in the park which is northwest of the old core of the town. It is rowing and boating resort of the town.
