If you are traveling by car from direction of Croatia, after passing Balaton Lake and the town of Siofok, take the A7 highway in direction of Budapest. Or vice versa, it is about 80 km from Budapest in direction of Balaton area.
On the picture is the Baroque house in Megyehaz street, one of the most beautiful streets of the old core of the town.

By car: from Budapest - M7 motorway
From Western-Europe - M1 motorway from the border to Gyõr, Main road 81 from Gyõr to Székesfehérvár;
By train: Szekesfehervar also has good train connections (on the picture you can see the railway station)

Train from Budapest Déli Station. It takes about an hour according to the timetable but in reality ..... yeah, much longer.
