    Another baroque style building in the town, lies in the middle of Kossuth Street. Build in 18th century is famous e.g. for its altar made by the painter Pal Kronewetter and the Antal Steinhauser.

    Eger Castle, visible from just about anywhere in Eger, can be reached by walking northeast out of the square; enter it via the path out of Dozsa Gyorgy ter. You can just wander around the grounds, which are always open, or explore two museums on the premises. The Istvan Dobo Castle Museum displays a history of the castle and some Turkish artifacts. The Eger Picture Gallery is particularly worth a visit for those who have not yet seen the Hungarian National Gallery in Buda; the same fine 19th-century Hungarian artists are featured in both museums. The museums are open Tuesday through Sunday from 8am to 5pm. Admission to both is 400 Ft ($1.45).

    In the Kossuth utca (Street) you can find plenty of beautiful houses and palaces, mainly baroque.

    Made of bronze by the sculptor Alajos Strobl in 1907 Dobo Statue offers a reminding of the old days, when the Turks tried to catch the city and its castle, which can be seen in the background of the monument.

    Szechenyi Street (in Hungarian: Szechenyi Utca) is the main walking street in the town. There are lot of old houses, as well as pubs and cafes. You can drink a bottle of wine and also eat something.

    The Stephan Dobo Gymnasium at Szechenyi Street no 19 has a group of baroque statues in its side. They looks very well in the day, but it is also worth to see them in the night when you can enjoy them in lighting.

    The high tower (53 meters) at the back of Lyceum is the astronomic observatory. Now there is a museum collection of old astronomical tools and unique camera obscura, reflecting on the screen view of the town.

    The monument of the three warriors on their horses was made by Zsigmond Kisfaludy Strobl in 1967. It stands in front of the Town Hall.
