The better thing you can do to have fun, in Hungary like in every other country,is try to meet people and make friends.It is very easy because the Hungarian people are very generous and friendly.If you want to meet them you have only to go to a pub or a bar because the Hungarians love to stay and to drink togheter.I can't tell you about a precise place,i went with my Hungarian friends to many pubs to drink wine.I have a little advice for you .Drinking and eating togheter for the Hungarian is a way to show their friendship and their warmth,so don't refuse to do it and you will discover the most beautiful characteristic of this people,a kind and warm generosity that will make you feel at home wherever you come from.The qualities are more in the people than in the places that i have seen In this kind of places (pubs, bars )there aren't dress codes.

I don!t know too much Budapest nightlife, but my favourite disco is Árkádia (Fehérvári street 120). It is a small disco with young people, and with normal disco music (and sometimes trance :-)). You have place to dance, and it is quite safe.
