by devinemissd Huge shopping centre situated right next to Nyugati trainstation. Here you find everything. And I mean everything! Shoes, clothes, furniture, food you name it! You can catch a movie and have something to eat right after. If you need to walk off all that food, just take the elevator to the top floor and have a stroll in the outdoor garden. Or if you´d rather want to stay inside, don´t miss the huge indoor waterfall.
A must when you´re in Hungary is buying peppers in all it´s forms. Hungarian have peppers in everything! Hungary is probably also the cheapest place in the world to buy goose liver. Delicious! Having a nice bottle of the hungarian wine Tokaj with that is like being in heaven. Have we got enough? by kaloz Street vendors. It is easy to overshop, the prices can be attractive. We were backpacking, so we mailed everything we bought back home.
Buy whatever suits you.
Make sure you haggle. The price may start high, but they will come down. Leave a Comment Theme: Local Craft

Hungarian wine by IngaA Being in Hungary and not trying the local wine is an unpardonnable omission. In any department store or small shop there is wine department. Don't miss it:)
Tokaj, Bikaver, Zweiguelt, Rissling,, ouff, my list can be endless. Hungary is known by its local wine of very high quality. In Tokaj there is one of the biggest wine caves in the World. Wine producing traditions are very ancient and well-kept. U will never regret if U try. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkDirections: Everywhere

Hungarian peppers by tini58de Oh, how well I remember the Market Hall in Budapest! I had the feeling, that they were only selling peppers: green ones, red ones, yellow ones, small and big ones etc...... But they were special to me no matter which one I am talking about! Shopping in Hungary: in some (larger) shops and especially in shopping centres you can use credit/debit card. American Express cards are not that widely accepted (although their acceptance is improving), the best is Visa or Master Card (some shops in Hungary only accept cards issued in Hungarian banks). It is always good to have a card and some cash too. Exchanging currencies (in banks or small exchange places) like USD, CAD, Euro, British Pounds is not a problem at all and there are many ATMs all over the city to withdraw cash if needed.
