Vadjutka design Jewelry Shop: Design Jewelry Shop in Budapest

by vadjutka

I would like to recommend my shop, which is a dream that came to life in August, 2011. I make mixed media jewelry using fabric, metal and glass. My style is often called Bohemian, but I also make recycled jewelry turning vintage brooches into beautiful pieces of jewelry. I hope you say hello to me in my shop once you are in Budapest, Hungary. Design jewelry with fabric. Prices are between 5 USD (4 EUR) and 60 USD (40 EUR).

Tesco, near Ferihegy International Airport: Last minute shopping

by hopang

Tesco Shopping Center Ferihegy is located between terminals 1 and 2 of Ferihegy International Airport. If you have ample time to spare at the airport before catching your flight out of Budapest, it is a good idea to do some of your last minute cheap shopping at Tesco Shopping Center instead of waiting at airport lounge for your flight or shopping at expensive airport shops! Tesco Shopping center is just one stop away (if we are not mistaken) from terminal 2 by local bus #200 or 200E (approxinmately 1 kilometer away from terminal 2). You may enquire from airport's tourist information office if you are not certain about its location! You may even check-in (self check-in) all your luggages before departing for Tesco Shopping Center.Tesco is an international grocery market and general merchandising retailer. They have almost everything (food and drinks and households items) that you require....

Westend City Center, Budapest: The largest shopping mall in Budapest

by hopang

Westend City Center Shopping Mall is by far the largest shopping mall in the city of Budapest. It has more than 400 shops spread over 5 levels with cinemas and rooftop garden on the top floor. For those who are hungry and thirsty, there are plenty of eateries on the ground floor to choose from. We certainly enjoyed our food and drinks at this location. Opening hours are between 10.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and between 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. on Sunday. Please note that all shops close on public holidays except for some eateries especially on 23rd October which is a day to commemorate Hungarian Revolution. Clothes at shops especially at C & A offer reasonable prices to customers. We bought several jackets and sweaters from C & A. They have realisation sales quite regularly throughout the year. Very reasonable prices compared to other outlets in the city.

Central Market Hall, Budapest: Grand Market Hall

by hopang

Central Market Hall (Nagy Vásárcsarnok in Hungarian) is located at Pest end of Liberty Bridge at 9th District of the city. The impressive three storey building was designed by Samu Pecz and was constructed in late 19th century. The market hall is certainly one of Budapest's top attractions and is considered a "must-visit" tourist attraction when you are in Budapest on your vacation. The stalls and stores on the ground floor deal mainly in fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, meat, poultry, bakery and cheese. Souvenirs from Budapest in particular and Hungary in general can be purchased from stores on the first floor. Hungarian embroidery, arts and crafts can also be found on the first floor and so are restaurants and eateries. You are able to sample some Hungarian food and drinks which are reasonably priced.Basement of the market hall has more stores and even a supermarket. Opening...

Any large and/or small: Shopping - using card or cash?

by omehes

Shopping in Hungary: in some (larger) shops and especially in shopping centres you can use credit/debit card. American Express cards are not that widely accepted (although their acceptance is improving), the best is Visa or Master Card (some shops in Hungary only accept cards issued in Hungarian banks). It is always good to have a card and some cash too. Exchanging currencies (in banks or small exchange places) like USD, CAD, Euro, British Pounds is not a problem at all and there are many ATMs all over the city to withdraw cash if needed.

Kozponti Vasarcsarnok: The Best Place to Experience Budapest

by DueSer

This is the place to go for two things you have to do on a trip to another country - people watching and buying souvenirs for the family and friends back home. There are three levels of delicacies and handicrafts all at excellent prices. The main hall is made up of food stalls selling anything that you might possibly want to eat. The top floor is where you can find things made by local artisans. The basement level has a grocery store as well as the fish sellers and some imported foods. The best part is all this shopping goodness is housed in a beautiful building and it doesn't cost you anything to just walk around and enjoy watching the locals buy their dinner fixin's. The food hall is the main attraction. You can just about anything you might need and a few things you have maybe never seen before. This is a good place to get Hungarian paprika. It's also a good place for breakfast as...

Great Market Hall or "Nagycsarnok": Facinating shopping/eating experience

by kgduke

A great place to stop with scores of little shops. The ground houses fruit and vegetable stands, butchers, and some pastry shops. Upstairs are tourist shops, souvenirs, and food stalls. In the basement you'll find fish, pickles, and a grocery store. Just a really unique place to visit and a great 1/2 day outing. Go to shop for souvenirs or groceries but be sure to have lunch at one of the food stall. The pastry shop on the ground floor in the middle of the hall has great filled pastries. Paprika, decorated eggs, souvenirs, tableclothes, Hungarian clothes. paprika - about $2 USD

Barrique. Cabernet Sauvignon & Franc. 1991.Produced by Bock, Józef, 7773, Villány, Petöfi S. u.34, Hungary.2) Zemplen Környéki Chardonnay. Száraz Fehér Tájbor (dry white country wine). Produced by: Tokaj Kereskeöház, Rt. Palackozó Üzem, Tolcsva. Affordable, definitely. No luxury wines, these, just very good.
