Kohegy (Stone Hill), the hill of Zamardi has an excellent location. From the watchtower, if the weather allows you, you can see especially the whole western part of Lake Balaton, but also the Abbey of Tihany, and the Tihany peninsula just in front. Sure enough, you can also see the smaller eastern area of the Lake from here, so the tower gives one of the greatest overviews around!
It was built for the Hungarian Millenium in 2000.

Szent Kristof is a little family winecellar, they only make about 20000 bottle of wine a year.
They offer a great wine-tasting program with good food and excellent hospitality. Usually one of the sons of the owner family is talking about the winemaking and about their wines.
You can also just drop by and taste on your own of course, but they can also arrange organized tastings for as much as 120 people at the same time!
Try their chese and Hungarian food plates, they go very well with the wines!

Zamardi has a 3,5 km long free beach, where you can enjoy all the possibilities the Lake can offer!
Take a bath, enjoy the sun, rent a paddle boat, etc...the plage also has restaurants, shops...you can spend a whole day there without problem :)
And by the way, the view is not bad either...you will have the Abbey of Tihany just in front...
