There was a big flood there in 1879. 151 people died on that nite and 5585 houses have broken down. Many nations helpt to them and rebuilt the the city and now this is more than beautiful.
There are many noteable places there i like them all. I walked around its streets, i think i know them and im proud of them all. Leave a Comment

Take a tour thrunthe city and have fun....
Altough I stay there for three days,the best memory was from one Disco Club I wisit,I guess one of the best in the town...I forget his name:)... Leave a Comment

Szeged provides a full-season cultural program, the 'Collegium Artium,' which is a wide-ranging series of lectures on various topics of art, literature and music.
Szeged has a very extensive library (Municipal Somogyi Library), with about 1 million volumes of books and periodicals, many of them in English, German and French. The universities in Szeged also have specialized libraries. The Central Medical Library contains 138.000 books and periodicals and has a direct medline connection with the European medical data-banks.
Among others Szeged has produced many world class swimmers, great chess players, powerful weightlifters. The list virtually goes on and on. The city is also host to many world class races. In 1998 for example Szeged was host to the Kayak-Canoe World Championships!

visit the Dom square. This is the very centre of the town. Taste the fish soup (this is a kind of chowder) in a restaurant - for e.g. in the 'öreg kőrössy' or the 'Fehértói' restaurant, these are quite famous in the town.
Szeged is a real student city. There is a big university, with approx. 10'000 students. So there are a lot of events all through the year. The most famous event is the Summer Outdoor Theater in july and august.
