I went to Szentendre for a day. It is a small and nice town but everything is so touristy and expensive! If you are not there to spend money, you have nothing much to do there, to be honest.
Not really a trap but a bit schmalzy in my view is a trip on a narrow gauge train packed in with legions of beshorted tourists.
Restaurants in the Buda Castle compound. The prices for even the simplest things like a drink were three times as high as in Pest, even on the main street of Vaci.
If you have touristing in Hungary, and you want to go anywhere, NEVER LEFT OPEN YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!

Always buy tickets on trams No.2,4 and 6 as well as on metros. Very often there are controls on these lines and torist have to pay the same fine of 1.300 HUF on the spot (ca. 10 USD)
