Budapest: Tram for everyone!
In Budapest the traffic is getting worse every day, there are so many cars on the streets that you cannot even breath! (OK, it is a little bit exagerration, but the number of cars running on the streets of Budapest exceeds the number of parkeng places.) So that means that during rush hours (8 am-10 am, 17-19 pm) it does not worth to use cars, or to wait for the buses. The best you can do is to travel with the metro (there are 3 lines) or with tram; personally I prefer these yellow electric cars. There are a lot of tram-lines in Budapest, so you can reach nearly every destination by them (or with metro). Trams are also good for sightseeing: tram NO 6 runs along the ringroad (actually three qauters of it) , so you can see a lot of Budapest! If you want to travel the whole of the ring road: start at Moszkva square, take tram No 6 untill the last station which is Moricz Zsigmond square....
