The land is well used all along the main road, connecting the Slovenian border to Keszthely, the main centre on the lake Balaton southwestern shores. Despite the pending menace of EU directive to cut the trees that grow within 5 metres from the road edge, a pleasant landscape is still enjoyable while driving across Zala county.
It is still a lovely experience to drive amid a double line of trees, and maybe this is an effective measure to reduce speed and increase the driver consciousness of speed. But they are being removed due to "safety" regulations.....
