Favorite thing: There is a nice view from anywhere on the Upper Hill. The church can be also seen, I just didn't include it in this picture.
Fondest memory: This photo was taken during the wine harvest in 1997. It was a lovely day, we were lucky with the weather. The little house in the middle was my uncle's cellar.

Favorite thing: This is the main street of Turje, leading to the centre. It goes uphill and even if it doesn't look too steep (particularly not on the picture), it's not very easy to ride up a bycicle and when I was a kid, with my friends it was a challenge to do it

Favorite thing: Turje is an authentic village, so visiting it gives a glimpse of life in the countryside in Hungary. Most familes have a few domestic animals, cats and dogs, and also poultry and pigs, sometimes cattle as well.
Fondest memory: These were my grandma's hens and here they were longingly watching the green grass through the fence (they received enough to eat, but they always tried to get more).

Favorite thing: An other example of rural life is that some of the corncobs were dried outside, hanging on the well. I think it's a nice, warm sight, typical of the late summer colours in Turje.
