Everyone heads to the beach when the weather is nice. There are specific gated enterances to this large lake so you have to pay a small fee to get in. There are many bars and restaurants inside. We needed some wine so we looked for signs. We found this guys house right off the only main road which was marked by a wine keg and an arrow. He has barrels of wine in his back yard in a shed. You just take a plastic jug, water bottle, anything, and get it filled up for a few bucks. I don't remember the names of the wines.
This guy is at Turista ut street, 1st house on the left right off the main road heading east from Heviz.
There is a hill full of vineyards above Badascony. You can walk up but it's very steep. You can rent a jeep to drive you up (crazy drivers). We took our own car up. There are so many to go to. I'll put a pic of the map of them up. We went to one that no one was at and it was so neat. A big cellar. There are little arrows pointing to the different places (pinces). You purchase the wine in little plastic barrels. Prices vary.
There are miles of caves under the city of Tapolca. They have boats that you can rent and go around the mapped off ones. You can't get lost and it's very clean and safe. Boats are very stable. It's really cool down there. We drove to get there, from Heviz. It's about 25 mins. Get a map, can't miss it.
