Himmelreich: A house for a group of artists

'Himmelreich' means heaven - and it is like heaven. 4 double rooms, 2 rooms for three, a big room for the meals, two beautiful terraces, a huge dancing room with mirrors on one side and doors to the view on the other side. A great place for an Oriental dancing workshop. The owner also rents the house out for drawing workshops.

It is heaven – the view, the silence, the spaciousness of the house and the garden, the beautiful and huge dancing room with the doors to dance into the garden and the view of the valley of the Ballaton.

There is a house, lilac and white striped crossways with a blue garden fence, very strange. This crossing is exact where you have to leave the main road of Zalakaros and turn into the small road up the hill, through the vineyards until you reach the house called ‘Himmelreich’ (heaven).

Favorite thing: The carriage picks you up and the coachman will ask you, where you want to go. We decided a tour around the area until the neighbour village of Zalakaros. Slowly the two horses drag the carriage uphill and downhill, through beautiful landscapes with great views. You can admire and enjoy the area around Zalakaros.
Fondest memory: As I was with a group of Oriental Dancers for a 5 days workshop there, I miss our solidarity, the pleasure of dancing and the spaciousness of the house 'Himmelreich' there.
