What a wonderful place. I can't even tell you what the best part is of Hafið Bláa. The restaurant is right on the beach in beautiful South Iceland. So of course, the view is gorgeous. The building itself is completely unique. The inside is reminicent of being inside an old wooden ship. While the building itself is quite new - it is constructed so you feel like you are below decks in an ancient sailing ship. Then of course... there is the food! We made Hafið Bláa one of our many, many coffee stops on one of our many, many road trips around the Icelandic countryside. My friend, an Icelander, is in the habit of stopping for that wonderful European strong coffee several times a day so.... who am I to argue - right? The coffee was great as well as the seafood-salad finger sandwiches we enjoyed while watching a group of school children play on the beach. A wonderful memory that will live with me always.

Q: How many people does that restaurant near Selfoss seat? I am leading a group of 25 people to Skalholt.

A: Do you mean perhaps Gullfoss? Selfoss is a rather large town with lots of restaurants.
