We cruised the lagoon on the boat with wheels. Tour lasts approximately 1/2 hour and is totally awesome!
The building is a gift shop/cafeteria and ticket office for the glacial cruises.

By Bus: Takes over 12 hours from Reykavik. There are many options for bus passes including circling the whole country.
By Guided Tour: Includes airfare/bus/boat. The most expensive but convenient option. Our tour was booked through Reykjavik Excursions. Over $300 U.S. but well worth it!
The best way to explore Hofn region is by car. You can stop where do you want and to explore a lot of glacier that in a tour you'll not see. There is only a problem: the fuel is expensive!!!
