Hraunfossar and Barnafoss are magnifent waterfalls - a definite must-see if you are in Iceland. Located east of the town of Borgarnes, the Hraunfossar waterfalls comprised of numerous springs of water that well up from under the edge of the lava field Hallmundarhraun and flow into the river Hvita. Barnafoss is also called Children's Falls because it is said that two children fell to their deaths at the falls.
From Rekyvik travel north-east approx 46 miles - Falls are located east of Reykholt
