The ride around Whale Bay is rewarding in its own way, the scenery is astounding. Once you park and walk back to the river, it will be about 2 - 3 hour hike the 643 feet to the top. The view once you get up there is incredible. There is a small cave by the river and then you just make your way up. Awesome views.
In the morning I rode for two hours in the beautiful Mosfellsdalur valley following mountain trails to the waterfall Tröllafoss. Then I rode back to the farm, where I was served a hot lunch. After lunch, I picked out another horse and we took off and explored some more mountain trails. It was a relaxing day.
