Road kills
by snorril
Even though we are a bunch of blood-thirsty, whale-killing savages we do seem to care a little bit about our animals. At least the local TV station recently broadcasted a news-flash encouraging drivers to drive slowly on the Reykjnes peninsula's roads to avoid killing the birds, especially arctic terns, which seem to be rather fond of playing the game "chicken" on the roads. Please don't kill our birds.
Gravel roads

The southern part of Reykjanes peninsula has many gravel roads. That means people need to drive slower, especially when meeting another car on the road. We have got far too many accidents involving foreign tourists and gravel roads.Drive carefully, please. I don't want to see you guys in the ER.
