The Family amusement park is the other part of the Domestic animals' Zoo "Fjölskyldu- og húsdýragarðurinn".

The park is open all year long, but the rides are only in the summer-time and in winter time when weather permits. There are swing-rides, boat-rides, cars where you drive along "real" streets with street signs, a pirate-ship and a very popular barbeque area etc.

This is such a popular park - there is not much to do here with kids, so visiting this park is big here. And it is so central in Reykjavík. I go there often during the summer time, even if I haven´t got any kids (I get free entrance) just to be where the fun is ;)

The park is open every day from 10-18 (to 17 in the winter time) and the entrance fee is ISK 750 for admission to both parks. Kids from 0-4 visit the park for free and kids from 5-12 pay ISK 550. This is just the entranc fee, then there is an additional fee for the tickets for the rides.

Here is a a 360° view of The Zoo and family park.
