The local museum is the "place of interest" for the stranger. It includes a large hall where the oldest local fishing boat is located surrounded by fishermen's stories. Mind you it is restored so well that it is hard to believe its age. The neighbouring premise includes more articles on fishing theme with an impressive item - "stuffed" cod - a sight so lovely from Canadian point of view, now that all of the cod off the Newfoundland’s coast is gone with the wind. Just outside is a reconstituted fisherman's hut that gives an idea how these folks lived.

Favorite thing: To the inland of Route 574 is another spur of a road. This one leads to a large shell of an old volcano. There is a great hiking around the rim, and good views to be had of the surrounding area. Unfortunately the view to the glacier was obscured.

Favorite thing: Many sea arches can be found along the rocky cliffs of this area. The cliffs are also lined with birds of all sorts.

Favorite thing: There's a nice beach at the edge of the peninsula.. it's a short climb down the rocky crags to make it there, though.
