Both of these places reside in the centre of the village and they both serve excellent food. O'Briens serve basic, wholesome pub food (i.e almost everything with chips) where as the Hyland Hotel tends to serve food that is more up-market.
Favorite Dish: O'Briens: - phone 065 7077003, opposite Spar shop. This pub also offers bed & breakfast accomodation
Best food:- Great big 1inch (25mm) thick burger in a bun.
Hylands Burren Hotel: - phone 065 7077037. Found on T junction in middle of village, this family run hotel & pub dates back from the 18th century and has been run by the same family for the past 8 generations. (www.hylandsburren.com)
Best food: - Steak
Note: - most places seem to finish serving food around 8-8.30pm. If you get caught out and arrive back here late (as we did – burst tyre!), this place serves food to 9.30pm.
