Things to Do

Budget accommodation? I wonder

Budget accommodation? I wonder, Liscannor

mvtouring Says:  Could not help thinking that this must be rock-bottom budget accommodation when staying in this luxury caravan ...... lol. /It just looked so inviting and begged me to take a photo of it.

Harbour

Harbour, Liscannor

mvtouring Says:  I have a fascination with harbours and fishermen boats. They always seem so romantic to me, no idea why cause the smell should be enough to put anyone off I would think. Still I loved visiting them and seeing what the fishermen caught for the day.

Golf course

Golf course, Liscannor

mvtouring Says:  I was totaly intrigued by the ruins of some castle or watching post in the middle of the greens and was wondering if you were suppose to hit your ball through one of the "windows" or "doors" and if that would increase your handicap ...... lol

Cliffs of Moher

Cliffs of Moher, Liscannor

mvtouring Says:  Cannot think of any other reason why you would be coming this way. A definate must not miss when in this area. After all this was the main reason for our visit to Ireland.

Cornelius O'Brien of Birchfield

Cornelius O'Brien of Birchfield, Liscannor

grandmaR Says:  Our guide gave us some cock and bull story about droit de seignor and a rude local name for this monument. But I find on looking it up that the stories are not true, as so much that guides tell you is fact mixed with fiction. The website below gives the real story
