Custy's Traditional Music Shop is the place to go for finding traditional music recordings and instruments. The shop isn't big, but to me it almost feels like it's the heart of Ennis. Here they give lessons, you can listen to every CD before you buy, and the shop owner will be only too happy to recommend some great music if you're not sure what you are looking for. Even if you aren't a musician, go there and get a close look at the wonderful traditional instruments they sell. It's a good place to find out where there is trad music going on. Custy's sells many Irish traditional instruments, CDs, and music books. While many of the instruments may be expensive if you aren't a serious musician, at least buy yourself an inexpensive tin whistle and try learning a few tunes.
