For me the best way to discover anywhere in Ireland is to drive yourself!
If we are going anywhere outside of Dublin on our trips here I ALWAYS drive over, and bring my little Ford KA ! (otherwise known as the go-kart!!).
It is much easier just to please yourself and take in loads of the scenic routes and stop where you fancy!
You can hire cars here in almost any of the towns,cities and ports.
