Dark wood, open fireplaces, nooks and crannies, timber beams - the interior of this pub has a great feel to it and is certainly a lovely place to be on a damp autumn day!

This local pub offers a great selection of dishes on its menu. You can choose from traditional Irish dishes through to fusion dishes. There's something on the menu to suit all tastes.

If you're here during any significant sporting event, you will find the bar occupied by many of the locals and this is a good sporting venue with TV screens dotted all around and many items of sporting memorabilia.

The Muskerry Arms also offers accommodation.

Two sister pubs are located in New York City, United States of America.

Favorite Dish: Blarney style bacon and cabbage - a great lunch on a cooler, autumn day.

Menu available on the website.

After exploring Blarney Castle (and kissing the stone) and its' grounds, Gillybob and I ventured into this welcoming hostellery for a spot of lunch, and to escape from the rain, which had turned from a 'soft rain' to a 'Wet rain'!
Sadly, we'd had to leave Martha (nomad7890) at the nearby bus stop as she had to return to Cork for her flight home.
There are a variety of restaurants and cafes in Blarney, but the menu and prices swayed us. I was pleased that we had decided on this place.

to be continued.....

Favorite Dish: A pint of Guiness! - really, I should have ordered a Murphys or Beamish, as these are Cork brewed ales (Guiness is from Dublin), but Guiness IS my favourite beer.

Locally sourced bacon (boiled or steamed), Mashed (creamed) potatoes and boiled cabbage, with a parsley sauce and boiled carrots. (10.95 Euros) Mmmm, I could eat it now!!

Johnny's Bar: Quaint Pub with Great Food

This is a quaint older pub located in the Blarney Castle Hotel. It has a set menu as well as specials for the day. The food is fresh and prepared to order with great flavor. Wonderful friendly service in front of a warm coal fire in the fireplace with clean surroundings that are very nice to look at.

Favorite Dish: I had a wonderful BLT sandwich. It was better than the average BLT because it was served on a french roll with Irish bacon. It came with a small salad with a creamy dressing and a small dish of coleslaw.
