Three very nice beaches near to Carrigaline are Roberts Cove, Rocky Bay and Novohol Cove.

Roberts Cove is large and has two pubs one being a resturant. lovely food and with the small pub you can sit on the wall and watch the sun go down and the sea come in .. or out.

Rocky bay is also signposted but if there are 5 cars there then parking can be a problem although everyone just uses the very narrow road.

it is very isolated and great for getting back to nature. no shops or civilisation. sometimes in summer the council will provide a portaloo but not always.

now, Novohol cove is like a smugglers bay. extremely isolated and down a one car tarmac track to get to.

it has huge black rocks coming out of the crystal clear sea and the walk to the top will enable you to see the needle rock formations on the other side.

truely a great off the beaten path experience.
