    Favorite thing: CORK

Cork is the second largest city in Irland and you will find it on the very south of the country. Ferries from France (Le Havre) bring many tourist every year to the “Green Island”.
In Cork you can actually find everything and it’s close to many tourist places.
The ocean side all along the coast is really wonderful.

Favorite thing: Visit the countryside..it IS the Irish character.

Fondest memory: Aside from the City of CORK, COUNTY CORK doesnt have much in the way of cities. This picture of Bantry is at the end of Bantry Bay one of a series of fjord-like but, low profile bays on the Irish South Coast. You can see the almost pastoral nature of the town, its 1pm and almost no one is 'about'. Bantry has a sleepy quality about it.

Favorite thing: You will some most of all road signs written in English and the traditional language of Gaelic. I didn't learn any of it though. I did hear it spoken a few times and I loved the sound of it!

Favorite thing: I don't remember where I took this picture from but it gives a nice view of Cork. I love the big church up on the hill.
