Not the cheapest option in Cork, but the food is good quality. Look out for set menus which get you a starter and a dessert on top for just a little more than the price of a main dish. Kitchen is international mainstream with a good variety of dishes. The only drawback is that the choice of beers was pretty weak – this is more a wine place. Get on the roof terrace at summertime. Had the prawns as a starter and Lasagne as a main dish – there was no space for dessert...
An interesting thing about this restaurant is the fact that all their interior, decor and even some funiture is salvaged from other buildings. This includes screens from the post office, an elevator from the tax office or a reception desk from a church. Check out their webpage for a full list or just wander around the restaurant and check for yourself.
Had a well-deserved coffee up here, seeing the sign for the roofgarden clinched it for me, even though the view is crap - all you can see is the rooves of the neighbouring buildings. A pity as you are so close to the river.
