Sight seeing is one thing you should really do. I visited The Macroom Castle. It still has it's construction well built. It has a great guided tour throught out the castle.
The Macroom Castle is one of most popular castle by the locals in Macroom (inside Cork). The castle in the town was the scene of many a siege, particularly in the 16th and 17 centuries. The castle and the town of Macroom were at one time the property of Admiral Sir William Penn, whose son founded the state of Pennsylvania.
