Favorite thing: If staying in or around Kealkill I would take you for a drive through the Mealagh Valley and surrounding area. There is lots to see, there are archeological sites and many other interesting things to do and see, such as hill walking and different craft places.

The Mealagh Valley is nestled within the Caha Mountains, it extends over an area of 17 square miles and there are great archaeological sites to be discovered.

Fondest memory: My fondest memory of staying around Kealkill in the Mealagh Valley (Coomleigh) was when during July I stayed for a long wekend at Hagal Healing Farm. It is a very peaceful place and the food is wonderful, all freshly cooked by Fred Wieler.

There is a good website I came across if you would like to learn more about the Mealagh Valley

http://www.carriganass.com/index.html

This site will make you familiar with not only the Mealagh Valley but also the Borlin and Kealkill areas.
