Kinsale is full of interesting shops selling anything you can dream of. It has interesting, and also expensive, art galleries, luxury clothes shops and the like but their specialty I think are gift shops where you can get little works of art produced locally. One of them is the Stone Mad Gallery, where you can get all kinds of things made of stone. Its colourful window looks very inviting, but it was too late when we got there so I could only windowshop. Another interesting shop that Katherine pointed out to me is the Heather Mountain with a large choice of woollies, most of them locally made. If shopping is your thing you will find Kinsale a great place to be. But try not to become too absorbed in that - with so much wonderful scenery around it would be a pity to miss it.

This is a lovely little bookstore with a large variety of books about Ireland as well as other types of books. I love to go here and browse through all of their books. A great place to get books about Ireland, whether it be history, recipes, or tourist activities.

Cronin's has a large variety of local crafted items from Ireland. Sweaters, crystal, pottery, clothing, and jewelry. They also have a nice collection of sovenier type items. It is a large store, with plenty of room to walk around and see what they have without bumping into everything.

Heather Mountain is a lovely shop full of sweaters, knit socks, Irish Cloaks, and other wonderful handcrafts from Ireland. It is larger inside than it looks from the outside. Once you get inside there is another room that goes off to the left and then goes around the corner again. They have sweaters for babies, children, women, and men. They have the largest selection of sweaters in Kinsale.

You will love the quality and brilliance of Kinsale Crystal. The owner Gerry Daly creates beautiful pieces with the deep cutting method that out sparkles Waterford Crystal. Take a stroll down Kinsale's quaint narrow streets to their shop and you can see thier amazing effortst at work. You can watch as they create beautiful pieces of art that you can purchase and take home with you. They also will ship it to you, so that you don't have to worry about how to get it home safe and sound. Gerry and his apprentices deserve so much more praise than I can give for their wonderful pieces of art and their dedication to making a quality product.
