by Ekaterinburg The marina with its rows of glitzy yachts slapping against their moorings, is the image most associated with Kinsale. Perhaps this is the reason I mention it last because, as we have seen , there is so much more to Kinsale than a pretty harbour and red sails in the sunset. But as harbours go, they dont come much prettier then this and sitting anywhere along the quays is a delightful way to while away an hour or more. There are a few monuments to those lost at sea along the quayside and most notably, in honour of our Spanish comrades in arms, a viewing platform in the shape of a Spanish galleon. Address: Pier Road, Kinsale.Directions: Just down from the tourist office and near the bus stop.
