Harvey's Bar   Kinsale

Harvey's Bar, Kinsale

1 Review  Harvey's is where all the twenty-something crowd go on a Saturday night, so it's going to be crowded, loud and you're definitely going to get drink spilled on you or get a passing cigarette burn! It's...

An Brog: A Great Bar

by Marpessa

An Brog was a great place to start the evening. A bar that was filled with people - sure as it got later it was standing room only. But the atmosphere was excellent, people everywhere were all having a laugh and the music was great (DJ'd, but a great mix of songs: popular Irish, top 20s, alternative, some dance, etc.). Would definitely go back there next time I'm in Cork. Relaxed: jeans and sneakers are ok.

Cubins: The 90s

by Marpessa

Cubins was packed with people the night I went (a Thursday night I think). The only thing that sort of put me off the place was that a lot of the music was early-mid 90s - and so the club is targeted towards people in their mid- late 20s (my opinion). It was still a lot of fun, especially if you want to go dancing as there is a huge dance floor! No sneakers, no jeans, but don't go overboard.

Sin E: Good Music

by Jennyjump79

I never got to take a picture, but Sin E was so much fun that we went back there for our last night in town. Besides live music, they have a ton of CDs behind the bar, mostly indie music and other offbeat stuff, if I remember correctly. The downstairs area is pretty small, but everyone was so friendly and the decorations, covering all walls and ceiling, is worth a visit.

Lebowski's: An Early Start

by Jennyjump79

Nights in Cork end early (between 11pm and 1am in comparison to NYC's 4am last call,) so we started our Friday night a bit before sundown. Lebowski's lured us in with it's reference to the Coen brothers' movie, but I stayed for the cider (apple and pear.)

Traffic at Dusk

by Jennyjump79

Cork City really seems to come alive at night-- live music in every other bar, lots of people dressed up and looking for a good time, and a good deal of traffic.
